While using CVS (ComicVineScraper) I received the Cannot Access Online Database error message stating I have exceeded my database access limit. I have seen it before so I did what I always do and wait, usually a few hours. This time no luck. Still no access. This happened 4 days ago and still no luck. I don't have any issue with the site itself, only API requests. I have tried an API request directly through the browser and the XML response returned was:
<error><![CDATA[ Rate limit exceeded. Slow down cowboy. ]]></error>
I didn't think I was abusing the limit and would absolutely work within the limits. I updated CVS to the last version (1.90) and am hoping to get some of the functionality back if and when my API key begins working again.
My question is, is my API key indefinitely banned? Do I need to wait a certain period of time with no new requests for it to be unlocked? Am I basically SOL?
