They are together again, with the Mother Box offering her warmth and guidance and the Infinity Man providing his strength. But even with this help, will the Forever People triumph over the Dark?

The Dark compels tortured author, Donald F. Bergman, to write his magnum opus. Maya dances to the sound of forever. Mark Moonrider observes the desecration, and torment, suffered by the Forever People, at the hands of the Dark. Deep inside himself, Mark Moonrider tries to rebel, but the Dark is always by his side, poisoning his mind. The machinations of the Dark, on Bergman's soul, parallel's Maya's dance. The Forever People rally against the Dark. Despite their best efforts, Serifan, Beautiful Dreamer, and Big Bear fail to win their freedom.

Vykin, The Black, realizes the powers of the Forever People are being diminished. Vykin, the Black, leads the Forever People to the device stealing their strengths. Upon tampering with the device, however, the Forever People are struck down. All has been orchestrated by the Dark, to turn their hope to despair. Maya's dance nears it's completion, as Bergman feverishly types out the Dark's manifesto. Mark Moonrider attempts to sway the Forever People over to the Dark. All defy him. Beautiful Dreamer conjures an illusion of Mark Moonrider's lost wife, and family.

The Forever People, Including Mark Moonrider, remember the word that unites their power. The word that releases the Infinity Man into the world. The Infinity Man lays waste to the Dark. With the Dark defeated, the Infinity Man releases the Forever People back into the world. For the first time ever, the Infinity Man, and the Forever People, share the same plane of existence. The Infinity Man fades away. In his place, stands Maya. The time to reveal Maya's truth to the Forever People has come. Maya teleports the Forever People away, as Castle Dark fades into memory. Maya, and the Forever People, appear before Bergman, and the last remnant of the Dark.
