Z.C. Branke is introduced in All-Star Western #7. She is first seen in New Orleans, LA, fighting in an arena against a strongman who she easily overcomes. After Jonah Hex proves himself in the same ring, Z.C. challenges him to combat; the two prove evenly matched, but mid-fight she stops and begins to kiss Hex, admitting that he interests her. That night, she proposes that he join the August 7 and help destroy a ship moored in the harbor carrying immigrants. Ultimately, Hex refuses, and she, along with the rest of the August 7, send Hex to his death. Ultimately, she is defeated when Hex takes out the August 7 shortly thereafter.
