    Created by Tise Vahimagi and Kev Hopgood, Zale appears in the 2000AD series 'Dry Run'.

    It happened during the Fourth World War when one of the warring nations fired a beam into the core of the sun that caused a solar flare up. Not only evaporating all of the Earth's surface water, but boiling a large part its atmosphere off into space. The few survivors now live in the dried out ocean basins, constantly on the search for Earth's most precious commodity...water.
