    His career starts in 1975, in the radio, where he directs various dramatic series. With Jean Leturgie he makes Cedric Lebihan and Percevan, as well as various issues of Lucky Luke and Rantanplan, demonstrating a fast adaptation and a complete comprehension of the language in comic books. He works in TV, in Fraggle Rock, Lucky Luke and Les Tiffous, and then goes back to the radio. He writes various books, including novels and essays, and also gives a try to screenplay writing, showing the versatility of his talent. He creates a Society specialized in comic books communication and administrates the Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers. He is a member of the swiss Board of Trade and of the local commission of town-planning, environment and culture at Saint-Cloud.

    In 1996 he received the french Order of Arts and Letters, given to personalities who have "significantly contributed to the enrichment of french cultural inheritance".
