    X-Men: Schism overcomes most of its faults enough to arrive at a decent end for what was also just a decent story event. It's an event that you finish and think to yourself how there were some good parts but overall it could have been a lot better than it was.This issue largely just goes through the motions of the finale.     Schism #5 is out, but the best of it were the few pages that Marvel let loose on the net a few weeks ago. They had drama and told us the story of how Schism should have been: intense and deep. The actual conclusion paled in comparision.WARNING:Full of Spoilers.The ArtVery good art. Everyone is depicted well, and I couldn't spot a single flaw (aside from Wolverine escaping from the sentinel's fist like it was a billboard).     The previous issue of "X-Men: Schism" finally got me on board this supposedly monumental X-Men event. The entire series was lacking the tension and believable conflict that could result in the splitting of the X-Men. But issue #4 sold it well and brought me in so I was really pumped for the final issue. But Jason Aaron's finale falls pretty flat and when mixed with Adam Kubert's distracting and poorly executed art, "Schism" turns out to be a series that never reaches it's potential. Heard that ...
