Wolvie is just going about his day -- you know, fighting zombies in an abandoned desert. It's all gravy until his entire reality is thrown into question.

The series starts with Logan facing off against an army of zombie-like enemies in what looks like a desert. The explanation comes a couple pages later when Wolverine, now in New York, is greeted by a young girl named Fusa who knows his name though they've never met. Before he knows what's happening, she begins transporting them to another place and everything goes blue. Surprised, Logan lets go of her before they reach their destination and ends up in a place that looks like where the comic opened. He comes across a metal ball that transforms into one of the creatures from the beginning. They fight and Wolverine is caught off guard by its speed and strength but eventually he cuts it in two. He thinks it's dead but it starts to reform. The issue ends with Wolverine saying, "What the...?!? You gotta be kiddin' me?!"
