    This volume contains two stories:

    1. David Innes struggles through a blizzard to find Abner Perry and his love Dian. In the process he is ambushed by prehistoric creatures.
    2. John Carter travels with Phaidor to seek Dejah Thoris in Helium. Tars Tarkas aids them in the journey and John Carter finds his beloved princess.

    This issue also contains a pin-up of Iron Wolf, the future replacement star of the title, by Howard Chaykin
