Jessica Drew ( Spider-Woman), the last known Peter Parker clone alive, is gathering intel form Roxxon so she can bust them. On day 32 of her Roxxon Recon the Roxxon building collapses while a huge, purple, cloud-like creature surrounds it/ destroys it. As everything collapses Spider-Woman goes in and saves as many people as she can possibly save, all while blaming them for the building collapse. After an explosion forces her into the streets she thinks of a very palpable question: "What the Hell?"

Reed Richards, ex-leader of the world famous Fantastic Four, now lives with his parents and his father is not happy about that especially since he has no job to contribute to the family. After being brutally woken up by his father, Reed's computer detects an energy flux, and then somebody's at the door. Even though Reed warns his father not to open the door, he opens it, and a purple, cloud-like explosion happens inside the Richard's home.

Sue Storm, genius biologist and ex-teammate of the world famous Fantastic Four, uses her invisible powers to hide herself from the rest of the world while taking a walk in the city. She feels better when not having to be a world spectacle to the rest of the world. Once back in the Baxter she wonders all alone the place only to find Ben Grim interrupts her loneliness. After a brief catching up between the two, Sue examines Ben's recent shedding of rocks and Ben drops a bomb on her by telling her that he loves her. Now that her relationship with Reed is over he took the opportunity to tell her that. One of the Thing's rocks falls and leaves Sue by saying: "something to remember me by". Then a huge, purple, cloud/octopus-like creatures overtakes the Baxter building and Ben even when trying to stop it he is thrown to a street.

A older man is dining in a restaurant in china town, he feels happy because he's enjoying his meal, then a hulkish purple creature approaches the restaurant. An explosion, caused by the hulking figure, starts making the building crumble, during all this the older man takes his face off, revealing it as just a mask, and reveals himself as Nick Fury. All the purple, hulkish figure said after that was: "You have no one to blame but yourself Nick Fury"
