A group of toys that originally belonged to Andy. For most, if not all, of them, it was their first owner. The first time the bunch was shown they included Sheriff Woody, Slinky Dog, Mr. Potato Head, Hockey Puck, Hamm, Rex, Bo Peep and her sheep, Sarge and the Bucket O' Soldiers, RC, Lenny, Etch, Little Tikes, Mike, Mr. Spell, Rocky Gibraltar, Snake the toy and Robot, Shark, Roly Poly Clown, Troikas, Troll, See 'n Say The Farmer Says, Toddle Tots Fire Truck and Crew, and a Barrel of Monkeys.
Woody was Andy's favorite toy and leader of them all before Andy received Buzz Lightyear for his birthday. Buzz then temporarily became Andy's favorite, and Woody, in frustration, pushed Buzz off the dresser. Accidentally, Buzz fell out the window and was lost. The toys blamed Woody (especially Mr. Pottato Head and Etch) and Woody ended up on a mission to bring back Buzz. They eventually did return, just in time for Andy to move. Buzz and Woody became good friends.
The following Christmas, Andy received Mrs. Potato Head and a puppy named Buster. Later on he received another shark toy named Mr. Shark. Months (or perhaps years) later Woody was kidnapped by toy collector Al after rescuing Wheezy (it is unknown when Wheezy joined the Toys). Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Slinky Dog, and Buzz left to save him. They did, but returned with a few new toys--cowgirl Jessie and her bronco Bullseye and three Pizza Planet Squeeze Toy Aliens. Wheezy (who's squeaker had been broken) was repaired and they lived happily for many years.
Eventually, though, Andy began to grow up and stopped playing with them. This depressed them quite a lot--they were even more distraught as they began to be sold off. By the time Andy was going to college, only twelve remained: Woody, Buzz, Jessie, the Potato Heads (who has married), Hamm, Rex, the Aliens, Bullseye, and Slinky Dog. Andy planned to take Woody to college, but he planned to put the rest of the toys in the attic. However Andy's mother mistakenly took the toys except for Woody and put them out with the garbage. Though they escaped this fate after breaking out of the bag with Rex's tail, they were scooped up and brought to Sunnyside Daycare for donation. Along with them went a toy of Andy's sister Molly--a Barbie. The toys did not believe Woody said they weren't meant to be thrown away.
At Sunnyside all the toys except for Woody thought they had found paradise. However Woody insisted he would return to Andy and angrily ran away from them. Bullseye tried to follow him, but Woody wouldn't let him. He escaped on a kite, but was picked up and taken home by a girl named Bonnie.
Woody was played with at Bonny's house and met her toys--Chuckles, Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, Dolly, Peas-in-a-Pod, and Totoro. Woody learned from Chuckles that daycare was a prison where little kids tortured the weaker toys by playing too roughly and a tyrannical teddy bear named Lots 'o Huggin kept everyone imprisoned. Woody returned to rescue his friends. Horrified to see that Chuckles was right, he stood in horror until approached by Chatter Telephone. Telephone said they had tightened security, but also coached Woody on how to get out. The Toys nearly escaped (along with Barbie) after they reversed a mind control Lots 'o had on Buzz, but were finally confronted at the trash bin by Lots 'o and his gang (who had beaten Telephone to get the information). Henchman Ken joined the Toys (because he loved Barbie) as they were being tossed into the trash for not cooperating. Woody then revealed to Lots 'o's henchman Big Baby what Chuckles had told him--that Lots 'o had pretended Big Baby was replaced after being dismayed to find he himself was replaced. Lots 'o had a violent outburst, and Big Baby then attacked Lots 'o and the other toys didn't care. Lots 'o was tossed in the trash, but then he dragged all the toys except for Ken and Barbie with him. They were brought to the dump. Woody and Buzz saved Lots 'o, but when given the chance he did not return the favor. The toys nearly were incinerated but were saved by the Aliens operating a Claw. Lots 'o was captured by a garbageman who imprisoned him on the front of his truck, while the Toys returned to Andy's at the last minute (since Woody wanted it). They did this another garbage truck, this one driven by Sid. However at the last minute Woody wrote a not pretending to be Andy's mom telling him to donate them all to Bonnie.
Andy gave all the toys to Bonnie not knowing Woody was in the box (Woody had climbed in). However he decided that the toys should be played with, and thanked them for helping him grow up as he drove away. The Toys joined Bonnie's toys and began many more adventures, while Barbie and Ken reformed Sunnyside so everywhere was pampered and shared the work.
