Inseparable friends, Tif the bald and Tondu the bearded unravel mysteries halfway between police and fantasy.
A series of gripping and spellbinding adventures created by Will, Dineur, Rosy, Tillieux, Desberg, Lapière and Sikorski.
Tif appears, in 1938, in the first issue of the journal de spirou. Tondu quickly joined him in number 3. Their first album release dates back to 1940 in a joint album by Rob-vel (creator of the character of Spirou) and Fernand Dineur (creator of Tif and Tondu).
The series began under its own title at Dupuis in 1954. During the reissue in 1985, "Le Trésor d'Alaric" became the second volume and "La Villa" sans Souci "", published in the Spirou jounal in 1951, took the first place.
Fernand Dineur will quickly abandon the series (1951). Will took charge of the drawing from 1949 and Maurice Rosy developed the scenarios from 1954. In 1970, Maurice Tilleux replaced him in writing. When Tilleux died in 1980, Stephen Desberg took over.
In 1990 Desberg and Will left the series in the hands of Denis Lapière (screenplay) and Alain Sikorski (design). In 1997, the series stops.
