Even when the Tomb of Dracula comic ended with issue 70, it proved so popular that Marvel brought back the fan-favorite series with the same creative team of Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan as a black and white Marvel magazine starring Dracula. This series was started after the original Tomb of Dracula comic had ended but lasted only 6 issues, ending an 8 year run of the character. The reason to revert the comic into a magazine was to attract more mature readers. The same was done with the Howard the Duck comic, which also changed into a magazine during this time.
