Synopsis
In Reno, Nevada, a water show is interrupted when men kidnap a dolphin named Mr. Smarty Pants. The trainers, Soren and Fred, call the Tick and Arthur for help. The Tick is magnetically drawn to the allure of free money in the casino, yet still can't help accidentally finding clues, like a strange fish that can only be found in one place in Reno: some UFO nutjob's fishery. The man is sympathetic and informs the group that the buyer of the strange fish is coming back for six more barrels. The four begin hiding themselves in the barrels when the Tick wanders off to gamble. A guy with the Cult of the Fin shows up and scares Arthur off and then loads the barrels.
Arthur finally finds the Tick, who admits that he has a gambling problem. Meanwhile, Mr. Smarty Pants has been found by Soren and Fred, but they are surprised when he speaks, orders their torture, and reveals a plan to get rich. This plan is revealed when the Tick and Arthur show up to save the day - the plan is a giant magnet that will attract fish. And the magnet works; the sky is soon filled with dropping fish.
While the Tick chases Mr. Smarty Pants, Arthur is able to reverse the polarity of the fish magnet, which sends the fish back before everyone is buried alive. The Tick and Mr. Smarty Pants begin underwater fighting, but the battle soon becomes a contest to see which can hold their breath the longest. Mr. Smarty Pants eventually loses. A judge returns Mr. Smarty Pants to Soren and Fred.
