The Strangers are in a meeting, figuring out that there are still several people from the cable car incident that are not accounted for. The group adjourns and Yrial asks if she can accompany Zip Zap back to his neighborhood. He allows her to and they begin speaking about Zip Zap's past. Suddenly they are attacked by Gangsta and Brazen, two super-powered thugs that run some gangs in that neighborhood. Yrial is able to discern their weakness and defeats them while Zip Zap beats up his old gang. Surprisingly, Pilgrim arrives with Byter, his lackey, to take Gangsta and Brazen away to join a gang he is assembling. Yrial and Zip Zap rush to inform the rest of the Strangers this development.
