For years, The Punisher has waged a war on crime in New York City with an array of very large guns, but a lead on a major source of drugs, weapons, and more has set his many sights due west. NOW! Frank Castle's in the City of Angels, looking to give the devil his due. Things aren't all they appear, though, with a highly trained military hit squad hot on Frank's tail. Caught between a posse of Punisher predators and targets of his own one-man-war, Frank's manifest destiny may be a shallow grave!

Definetely the best Punisher run in 616 i've seen in years. I loved Rucka's run and it was a shame Marvel shut him down, but this... Frank as a character seems more complete and believable. Nathan give some depth to the character that seemed lost many years back. This seems like a compilation of he Punisher since the early series in '86, it's action packed, he can interact with people( with more than one or two words) as Frank/Punisher and be brutal and precise like Ennis and Rucka in their resp...

Reading This Is Punishment Enough 0

The Punisher has always been one of my least favorite Marvel character simply because of how unimaginative and colorless he and his series tend to be, and this iteration reminds me of just that. It's your every day drug busting operation with Castle being a brooding tough guy. The dialogue is nothing special, the conflict is flat and lifeless, and the art is just okay. Unless you're a big fan of the character, there's no reason to be reading this....
