    Concept and Creation

    Created by Image Comics co-founder Jim Valentino in 1992. He thought that, "...If homo-sapiens are an evolutionary offshoot from a basic primate, why couldn't other animals have had less successful offshoots? These creatures, for one reason or another, weren't successful in reproducing."
