    Thus far in the new 52 Captain Atom has been one of the unexpectedly best written series of the entire relaunch.  One of its criticisms though is that it doesn't feel so much like a comic as it has no real antagonist as yet identified.  With that in mind if there was one there I feel that it would feel a lot more like this series, somewhat more lackluster, but still readable and occasionally enjoyable.  In this issue though the series aims a little higher and hits its mark quite well.  In the af...

    Falling Apart In the Fallout 0

    The Fury of Firestorm covers have been EXTREMELY hit and miss. The first issue had a fantastic one, but the second issue had an utterly HORRENDOUS one. 3 and 4 had great ones, but 5's was kinda bad. But this issue has the best cover yet. Both main Firestorms, as small as can be, in the empty crater. It really captures the hollow sorrow of the moment this issue begins in, and then adds an extra layer of eeriness with the secondary craters mimicking the Firestorm symbol.     Aftermath of Hate 0

    The art by Yildirai Cinar was superb, and the way Ronnie was written as well. For some reason, though, Jason is coming off as a huge jackass.
