    The Anchor is a new BOOM! Studios comic series written and created by Phil Hester, and illustrated by Brian Churilla. The comic tells the story of a creature known only as The Anchor, a Holy warrior in an unholy war.

    Do you like Jack Kirby art? What about Hellboy? Even The Goon? Then you'll probably love this.   I was a little under-whelmed but that's not to say it's a bad issue. The resemblances to the Goon or Hellboy stop on the first page. This character is immediately written as something onto himself and I enjoyed that he's sort of split between worlds. He has a physical form on our plane of existence but he also has another form on the boundaries of Hell where he fights off Hell's armies, keeping them ...
