    The new direction of SWAMP THING continues in the conclusion of the 4-part 'Bad Gumbo': Alec Holland and Abigail Arcane confront the murderous Swamp Thing in a struggle that will determine the Earth Elemental's fate. But the mysterious Parliament of Stones is already preparing for the next stage in the Swamp Thing's evolution.

    Final part of 'Bad Gumbo' wouldn't make sense without the prior three-part story. Overdramatic and detached of insight, despite Mark Millar and Grant Morrison in their collaborations, the story twists Swamp Thing back to his roots in the "real world" while tearing away what natural charms Alan Moore left behind. Ethereal, broken, heartbreaking and experimental- not layered in early stories, but a bold reversal. ...
