    • Features the Hostess Cup Cakes ad featuring The Thing, "A Lesson To Be Learned".
    • Danny Fingeroth's assistant editor credit taken from letters page.
    • The art in this issue by Carmine Infantino was unused from the recently cancelled John Carter Warlord Of Mars series. Rather than scrap the artwork, Chris Claremont was hired to write a Star Wars story based on it and Walt Simonson added new panels giving it cohesion and more of a "Star Wars" look.
