    Sovel Redhand is the captain of the Shi'ar salvagers crew. He and his crew encountered the X-men a few times. First when they came to earth, where he and most of his crew wanted to kill the X-woman Rogue. The team was defeated by the combined powers of Rogue, Gambit, Professor Xavier, and Danger and fled. On a different occasion, Sovel and his team teamed up with Rogue, Rachel, Magneto and Gambit in order to save the X-men's lost teammates, Havok and Polaris. This was not voluntarily, but because Sovel had lost his leadership against Rogue during a duel.
