The Solution are in Tokyo, Japan to meet with a potential client. The client is a Russian member of the KGB who wants to hire the Solution to solve the problem of Quattro destroying Russian nuclear bases and stealing their warheads. While Tech goes to meet with the client, each member of the Solution go on their own for reconnaissance. Each member is attacked by a member of Quattro. The Solution is able to defeat Quattro and they escape, thanks to their member Gate. In the confusion of battle, the Russian client is killed before he can offer the Solution the job. Shadowmage believes that Quattro will not attack again, but Tech believes they will fight again.
In a back-up story, the origin of Rune is revealed.
