    Sindella is the mother of Zatanna and wife of Zatara.

    Although thought dead through childbirth, Sindella had actually fled the newborn Zatanna after the evil Allura had places a curse on her and Zatara, in which they would both die should they ever see each other again.

    Sindella left and returned to her own people, a group of Homo Magi located in a hidden city in Northern Turkey. The inhabitants turned on her however, and began absorbing her magical power.Fearing they would soon do the same to Zatanna, she contacted her telepathically.

    Zatanna, Zatara and the Justice League soon came to Sindella's aid and where attacked by the inhabitants of the city. Eventually, Sindella sacrificed herself in order to save her family.
