A star falls to earth. Panic grips the planet as mankind prepares for its inevitable end. But the star is a ship, and inside is a god. All he asks is adoration. Overcome with relief, man rushes to obey. There is only one voice of dissent that will not be silenced: the Silver Surfer, who recognizes the "god" as his former master. But why has Galactus encouraged mankind to live down to his darkest nature? From Stan Lee and Moebius, one of France's living treasures, comes a bewitching tale of man's folly and nobility. Plus: Almost every hero on Earth has fallen before the unexpected power of Mrrungo-Mu, the alien leader of the Enslavers. All except the Silver Surfer. But what chance does even he have against such power?

Then, the unthinkable happens - a spaceship lands and, "Earth will never be the same again." Some take advantage of this grand new mystery, fitting it into their religious dogma to control the masses. Many are simply to scared to think - they just listen to the news of this mighty "GALACTUS". The world is in an uproar, riots and fear grip t...

I could just read this story over and over again. I picked up the latest reprinting, 'cause I hadn't read them for a while, and was once again blown away. Moebius is one of the greatest comic book artists ever. His work was so ahead of it's time, and it's a pity he couldn't have done more mainstream stuff. As for the writing, I found it to be far better than any of the stuff I'd read of Lee in the past. It seemed he wasn't just writing to make money, or shovel out nonsensical yet entertaining s...

    Parábola religiosa. 0
