Sierra Smith was your basic two-fisted tough talking hard boiled private detective with a beautiful secretary / assistant, in his case named Nan.
Where Sierra was unique was that his beat was not the city but the wild west where he dealt with bank and train robbers, rustlers and desperadoes.
Created by Joe Millard writer with Alex Toth & Joe Kubert doing the art this was the first detective character at DC to appear outside the pages of Detective Comics.
