V for Vendetta
Working as the leader of the Mouth, Dascombe is responsible for coordinating the broadcasts made by Lewis Prothero masquerading as the voice of Fate. Following the terrorist activities of V he creates the fiction that the explosion was a controlled demolition. He later tries and fails to recoup the political capital lost when V drives Prothero insane, effectively silencing Fate. Following the death of Derek Almond, whom he hated, he makes sexual advances towards his widow, Rosemary Almond, who accepts reluctantly for economic reasons. He is present in Jordan Tower during V's takeover of it, and, held hostage, he is forced to broadcast V's message. Dressed by V in a replica of his costume, Dascombe is shot and killed by agents of the government when they storm Jordan Tower.
