Rina

Origin

From Sharyngol, in the province of Nirai Darkhan-uul, Rina was raised in a repressive and strict werewolf society. On the day she became a woman she was accidentally encountered by a male thief; driven by her heat, they made love. She fell pregnant by this encounter, and her father had the litter terminated before throwing her out in shame. She moved in with an old widower named Bataar, and soon fell in love with a boy named Sukh. When he discovered she was not a virgin he convinced her to become a suicide bomber in order to reclaim her purity. She was unable to go through with it, and when she returned to him Sukh attacked her. Fleeing, she found herself in the House of Mystery, where she was one of those who were unable to leave. She worked as the waitress there for some time.

Creation

Rina was created by Lilah Sturges and Luca Rossi. She made her first appearance in House of Mystery #1.

Major Story Arcs

House of Mystery

Rina is selected to leave the House, and is picked up by the Coachman. He interrogates her about the House, and dumps her out when she does not answer to his liking. She is picked up by the Pair of the Conception, who take her to Ceorel. He convinces her to betray the House in exchange for the Conception making changes to her homeworld in order to create a better society there. After leading Conception to the House and dissolving the dimensional whatsis, and being assured that the changes have been made, she declares that a person such as her should not be allowed to live on this better world, and kills herself.

Powers and Abilities

Rina is a werewolf, and as such is capable of shifting between her human and wolf forms; this shift appears to be largely involuntary, but occurs at times of heightened emotion rather than in relation to the Moon or any outside stimulus.
