    Best known under the name Richard Stark because of the Parker novels.  Donald E. Westlake would have many pen names: John B. Allan, Judson Jack Carmichael, Curt Clark, Timothy J. Culver, J. Morgan Cunningham, Edwin West, among others 
     
    Parker would be a property very special to him, in which all adaptations besides The Darwyn Cooke's Graphic Novels could not actually call the character "Parker".  Cooke and Westlake worked to create an adaption Westlake was happy enough with that could bare the name Parker.  Westlake would die December 31, 2008 at the age of 75 in Mexico.  Westlake would die before he could see his creation Parker adapted into the medium known as comics.
