    René León was educated at the Academy of Art "Carlos Baca Flor" in his native, Arequipa, Perú. He worked for the newspapers “Expreso” and "Extra" in Lima, Peru and later traveled to Europe. He settled in Spain, where he works as a Freelance Illustrator, cartoonist, comic artist and editor. He works in various artistic fields, as an illustrator, cartoonist, colorist, comic books, graphic design, editorial, etc.
