Kings take Castle. Now its his move!

It takes more than bullets to take out the Avengers' biggest guns.

On Ryker's Island, Rachel is visited by Kelly Grafton, a representative of N.C.T.A.P., an organisation that fights against the death penalty, which Rachel is possibly facing. Rachel is not interested, but Grafton goes on, telling her that it is crucial to find Frank Castle to get a testimony from him, proving her innocence. Rachel again refuses to tell anything, both protecting Castle and taking the guilt on her shoulders.

In the Avengers Tower Black Widow tells Wolverine about her visit to the prison as Kelly Grafton. She also found out that his story about his encounter with Castle was a lie. She then sets out to find Castle herself.

She goes to the Ukraine and is told what the Punisher has been up to since he arrived in Eastern Europe. In Moldova he stops a shipment of girl slaves, then continues to Amsterdam to kill the pimp responsible for the trade. Her contact suggests to let Castle do his thing, but she wants to stop him.

She travels through Europe and Africa, following his trail of bodies. In Niger she finds his victims of an ivory operation, in the Congo she is betrayed by her guides and defeats them. She is then attacked by Castle and gets him to talk to her. They fight some more and he escapes to a village in the jungle.

Natasha tells Captain America that the village Castle led her to is full of sick children who need help. She questions if Castle should be pursued further, but Cap insists on it, now trying his luck with Thor.

I have been a Punisher fan for most of my life and Greg Rucka's run on the Punisher has been one of the best I've ever read. It's due to this that I'm a little upset that he won't be writing any more Punisher issues after this series, let alone Punisher not having his own series any more. I've also really enjoyed Marco Checchetto's art throughout the series and was also upset when hearing that he was unable to do the art on this series, but Carmine Di Giandomenico has been a decent substitute.Pl...

Does the solicit/cover portray what happens in the issue?Art - 3/5- Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance?Colors/Ink/Lettering - 3/5- Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening? Can I easily read the lettering?Layout/Flow - 4/5- Does the layout of the...

    Black Widow: War Zone 0

THE GOODFor some reason, Carmine Di Giandomenico can draw redheads really well. Overall, the characters look good. Frank Castle especially, once he shows up.Black Widow's hunt for the Punisher is the highlight of this issue. I was surprisingly interested to see where her chase led her.Rachel was written well. As someone who didn't read Rucka's Punisher ongoing, her few pages in this issue helped shine a light on those stories and make me want to buy it in trades (which I will be doing).Rucka con...
