    Beauty and the Bat 0

    Power Girl.  I love her.  You should too.  That's really all I need to put for an intro, but I guess I should reiterate that not only does PG continue to be one of the funner and more unique characters in comics today, but that the creative team driving her current series is excellent.  I've said it before, and I'll probably have to say it again.  Now, to the review.   Here's that recap you (hadn't) asked for...Power Girl is in a bind.  Her company's hemorrhaging money due to a mysterious embezz...

    Review: Power Girl #17 0

    After she finishes her team-up with Batman, Power Girl travels to the Artic to confront a mysterious foe with some alarming similarities to somebody she knows all too well.  The Good Winnick gets these characters. He makes them real people and that especially comes through in Power Girl's ruminations about the differences between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson as Batman. There's even some hint of flirtation that I think would make for a great sub-plot in the book - - an interesting riff on the cl...

    PG and The Dark Knight 0

    Power Girl and Batman team up and later, Power Girl confronts a new foe in in Antarctica. Pros: This issue goes back to the somewhat lighthearted mood that I usually see in Power Girl compared to last issue. Seeing Power Girl and Batman together in the first half of this issue reminds me of Superman/Batman team up. While this isn't Bruce Wayne under the cowl, Dick does add some humor to his persona of the Dark Knight while maintaining the intimidating presence. This adds to Power Girl's ...
