    A story arc from that transcended all of the Spider-Man series of the 90s. This is one of the largest symbiote related conflicts ever. Spider-Man, Venom, and Scarlet Spider were the main heroes of this story, with Carnage and the symbiote invaders as it's core villains.

    In a series of battle with anarchists, Spider-Man placed doubts in Venom about being bonded to the symbiote. Eddie Brock commanded the symbiote to leave him so he could think his situation over. The symbiote, angry at another rejection, let out an anguished cry, which attracted a whole platoon of symbiotic soldiers.
