    Origin

    Very little is known about Creedy's early life. At some point he joined up with the Norsefire government, where he became a member of the Finger, the paramilitary secret police.

    Creation

    Creedy was created by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. He made his first appearance in Warrior #18.

    Major Story Arcs

    V for Vendetta

    Following the death of Derek Almond, Creedy becomes the head of the Finger, taking over with the handling of the attack on Jordan Tower. During this investigation fails to realise that V has escaped and Roger Dascombe died in his place until it is pointed out by Eric Finch. He begins withdrawing favours that Almond gave to his friends, and makes a pact with Scottish gangster Alistair Harper to have his criminal associates bolster the ranks of the Finger. Following the crippling of the Eye, Ear, and Mouth, Creedy attempts to coordinated the police response. When Adam Susan goes on a procession through London Creedy allows Rosemary Almond to approach his car, inadvertently facilitating Susan's assassination. Seizing the opportunity and the reins of power in England, Creedy is shortly thereafter betrayed and murdered by Harper at the behest of Helen Heyer.

    Creedy appears in a greatly expanded role in this adaptation of the comic book, taking on aspects of Derek Almond and Eric Finch's roles from the book. He is portrayed by Tim Pigott-Smith
