The success of the made for TV movie led to the launch of a television series in April 2007 starring Kristanna Loken. The television series lasted for only one season, but unlike it's film version, was more similar to the comic book version which was released by Jimmy Palmiotti and Marvel editor Joe Quesada in 1995.
