    Matthew "Matty" Roth is a young photo journalist who enters Manhattan, now known as the DMZ, with a news crew to show the life inside the isolated island. However upon arrival the entire team is killed by "insurgents" and Matthew is stranded in the zone. A local named Zee Hernandez decides to help Matthew and shows him around the city. Matthew decides to stay in the zone to show the outside what life is like inside the DMZ.
