New Earth was the name for a mega space station than groups the 95 surviving cities from the original earth, destroyed in the 31st century as revenge from the Dominion against the Legion of Super-Heroes and the EarthGov. The colony still was orbiting around the Sun, but it was unstable, technically and socially. Only with the help of the Batch SW6 than was possible keep the structure working. The existence of New Earth would be threatened by the entropy from the End of the universe, released by Hal Jordan during the Zero Hour event, ending the existence of New earth along with its temporal line.
