After Val Armorr, the first Karate Kid, died, Timber Wolf and Sensei Toshiaki, who was one of Val Armorr's teachers traveled to Lythyl to fulfill a stipulation in Karate Kid's will. Intrigued by this honorable concept, Myg became their guide to Lythyl and learned about their way of life. After sparring with Myg, Sensei Toshiaki saw the potential for good in Myg, and decided to get him away from Lythyl. Timber Wolf and Sensei Toshiaki then knocked Myg unconscious, and brought him to Val Armorr's grave on Shanghalla. There they told him of Karate Kid's legend. Myg was inspired by the respect that others paid to Val and he vowed to become worthy of Karate Kid's name.

After his short tenure with the Subs Myg joined the Legion proper. He remained with the team until the Dominators took control of Earthgov and started hounding the Legion. Myg fled but was eventually captured by the Dominators. They experimented on Myg, brainwashing him into joining their side and unlocking latent sonic abilities in him that he was previously unaware of. After the Dominion was defeated and earth was destroyed the Legion freed Myg and they began his deprogramming.

    Powers and Abilties

    Unarmed Combat

Myg is a master of the martial arts and is especially proficient in lethal styles. As part of growing up on Lythyl, he learns quickly and can easily make decisions under stress, necessary skills on a world where status was determined by fighting prowess.

    Sonic Powers

In the "Five Years Later" timeline, the Dominators unlocked a previously unknown latent ability of Myg's to emit sonic emissions from his body. He could use this power to project sonic blasts from his hands or emit them from his feet, enabling him to fly.

    Equipment

As a member of the Legion, Myg possessed a Legion Flight Ring. The ring gives its wearer the ability to fly, the speed and range of which is determined by the wearer's willpower. It also acts as a long-range communicator (enabling constant vocal contact with other Legionnaires, even across vast distances of space), a signal device, and a navigational compass, all powered by a micro-computer built inside the ring.
