When a ship carrying medical supplies that can save a terminally ill boy's life sinks, the authorities call in the Doom Patrol to use their unique powers to recover the medicine from the shark- infested waters.
Two simultaneous but independent underground nuclear tests by the United States and the Soviet Union create two atomic monstrosities. If the two creatures touch they will create an extremely powerful nuclear explosion that will kill millions. It's up to the Doom Patrol to prevent that from happening.
