Mister No travels towards Rio Branco, in the Acre region of Brazil, in search of a friend whose whereabouts he lost track of some time ago. Mister No got an opportunity to make this trip because a new client of his, Att. Meurisse, wants to open a legal practice precisely in that area, which is completely off the beaten path, so that he can defend the downtrodden peasants who are browbeaten by their overlords. But our two friends are unaware that the welcome awaiting them down there is based on red-hot lead!
