The film begins with a Michael Jackson impersonator, making a living in the streets of Paris. He has long stopped using any other identity than his chosen role. During a performance "Michael" is approached by "Marilyn Monroe" and is instantly fascinated with her. "Marilyn" is there to recruit him for her large theatrical group, situated in the Scottish Highlands.
Performers modeling themselves after celebrities and fictional characters are building their own stage in the Highlands. Hoping that the world will appreciate their beauty and talent. But their utopian dream might be out of their reach.
