Miriam Birchwood attended the wedding of Reed Richards and Susan Storm. She stayed with Susan Storm behind-the-scenes of the ceremony, hoping to learn what their honeymoon plans were, but Sue was disgusted by Birchwood's disregard towards the fight outside.
Birchwood was assaulted by a spy drone sent by Dr. Doom to attack Susan, but the Invisible Woman destroyed it with her force field. Doom appeared in a hologram to Susan, gloating that her teammates would be defeated by the agents of Hydra who invaded the building, but the Hydra agents were all defeated. Birchwood joined the Invisible Woman in mocking Doom's plans, then brought her her Fantastic Four costume so that she could head into the fight.
