    Short summary describing this issue.

last edited by Cosmic Cube on 07/27/22 01:33PM View full history

Starring The Shadow, The Green Hornet, Kato, and The Spider, in a story that only Dynamite could tell! Before superheroes, there were Masks! They've always said it can't happen here… but what if it did? It's 1938, and the Justice Party has swept into office in New York State. But the newly-elected officials are in the control of powerful criminals, who quickly corrupt the law to their own advantage. When a fascist police state is instituted, the only ones who stand in defense of the innocent are masked vigilantes like the Shadow, the Green Hornet, Kato, and the Spider. Also, look forward to future appearances of Black Bat, Miss Fury, Black Terror, Green Lama and more! When the law is unjust, justice must be an outlaw!

The Good: My Alex Ross man crush just grew a little a more. I love how he draws real bodies in comics. He makes everything look so real.. Robersion opening issue was excellent .Shadow is truly a bad man . I see why people say he was batman before batman was created. A lot of political issues are brought up here. A lot Injustice was taken part during this timeline and Chris is not scared to shed a little light on it. The Bad, The spider hardly get any panel time. I think he will get more in the...

The Pros:Well where to begin. The art by Alex Ross is of course, beyond compare. He has painted this comic book with deft and and a sense of realism to the characters that is hard to find elsewhere by other artists. You definitely get a "feel" this is Chicago back in the day, albeit one in a different type of reality for lack of a better term. The action has you engaged, the story has promise and of course the art is beautiful. The Cons: OK, there is some thinly veiled--pun intended---plot device...

I loved the past issue of masks. I never read anything by Chris Roberson and was very impressed. I also never read any dynamite or any of the characters featured in this comic. This comic makes it easy for new readers like myself to feel comfortable with the characters and the story and you can understand the characters and you feel like you already know them. I saw the Seth Rogen Green Hornet movie but I was in no way familiar with any of the characters. This comic is about a new party called t...
