    Young-Tough served as the junior partner for Super-Tough for quite sometime and his hard work and dedication brought him to the attention of the United States government, for their superhuman team Youngblood.

    Unfortunately, during their confrontation with Damien Darklord, the Nega Bomb went off prematurely. It left Young-Tough horribly scarred and no longer eligible for Youngblood. Young-Tough apparently lost his partner Super-Tough in the blast and this, combined with the rejection from the government, left the young man broken and out of control.

    He ultimately changed into the merciless vigilante Mace, fighting to keep the world safe for ordinary men and women from super-powered freaks.He has clashed with heroes and villains and has no allegiances to either side.
