Three years after the end of the war with the colonies , Legs , who abandoned the Alfa Agency , is approached by a young freighter pilot , Nina Folke , who brings a message of help from Janet Blaise , prisoner at a S.I.M. space base. Orson Madoc , a former space pirate and the two pilots of the cargo , Nina and Bob o, accompany the rescue .
