Legion of Super-Heroes #269

Colossal Boy's mother is nominated for president while members of the Fatal Five attack Mon-El and Shadow Lass.

The Legion of Super-Heroes are part of the festivities on the day that the new candidates for the president of Earth are nominated. Colossal Boy is surprised to find his mother, Marte Allon, as one of the chosen nominees. Shadow Lass and Mon-El sneak out for a romantic rendezvous at the beach when they are attacked by members of the Fatal Five and taken hostage. Shadow Lass was able to call for assistance before being captured and the only one to receive that message is Timber Wolf, who goes to investigate by himself. Meanwhile, Colossal Boy and some Legionnaires are at his parents house, celebrating his mother's nomination, when they are attacked by Mano and Tharok. The battle is swift and Tharok is able to kidnap Shrinking Violet. Mano soon escapes as well and waits to board an expected spaceship, led by the "Dark Man", someone whom is associating with Tharok.
