Lady Penelope was a British weekly comic for girls which ran from 1966 to 1969. The sister publication to TV Century 21, it was titled for its star, International Rescues' London agent Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, from Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds. Running alongside Lady Penelope's strip were strips featuring the Angels from Captain Scarlet and Marina from Stingray, both other Gerry Anderson shows, as well as strips based on US TV shows The Beverly Hillbillies, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Bewitched and The Monkees. The first issue was dated 22 January 1966. The title changed to The New Lady Penelope with issue 53, back to Lady Penelope with issue 63 and then to Penelope from issue 123 onwards, as the comic dropped its connection to Gerry Anderson's shows. The run ended with issue 204, dated 13 December 1969, after which the title joined with Princess Tina.
