Kingdom hearts: Chain of memories is based on Kingdom hearts continue. When Sora loses Kairi (again) he wants to find a way to recover her and close the door of kingdom hearts. After a long time of walking through endless fields, Sora, Donald and Goofy starts to get tired. In one night, Sora was looking to the stars and suddenly there was a voice "Ahead lies something you need, but to claim it, you must lose something dear." and then only a single path remains, as the strange black-hooded man vanishes; and the path led to Castle Oblivion, with a single drop of hope, Sora, Donald and Goofy follow the path. When they arrive to Castle Oblivion, Sora, Donald and Goofy enters it, but the curious thing is that the more they enter the deep white castle, the more Sora (Donald and Goofy too) his old memories are replaced by new and fake ones by a strange girl, even the memory of... Kairi.
