Crisis From Yesterday! last edited by BuffaloDelorean on 09/04/23 11:39AM View full history

The annual joint gathering of the Justice League of America and their Multiverse counterparts, the Justice Society of America, is interrupted by an explosion. The villainous Lord of Time has selected five heroes from the distant past, brought them forward in time, imbued them with superhuman powers, and tricked them into fighting the combined heroes of Earth-One and Earth-Two. Will the remaining JLA and JSA members still standing be enough to overcome Jonah Hex, Black Pirate, Enemy Ace, Miss Liberty, and the Viking Prince in “Crisis from Yesterday!”?

The Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America, hold their annual get-together, at a restaurant, in Gotham City. Their pleasant conversations are interrupted, by an explosion, which destroys one of the restaurant's walls. In a dimension bordering the year 3786, the Lord of Time sets events into motion, from his Palace of Eternity. Foolishly, the Lord of Time has commanded the Eternity Brain to, literally, stop time. It will take the Eternity Brain almost ten hours to execute this command. As there is no way to abort this action, the Lord of Time has initiated a secret plan to garner the aid of the Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America.

The Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America, are attacked by the Black Pirate, the Enemy Ace, Jonah Hex, Miss Liberty, and the Viking Prince. In the aftermath of the attack, the Enemy Ace recalls being drawn from the battlefield, to find himself flying beside the Viking Prince's dragon ship. The Black Pirate recounts a similar tale. Miss Liberty notes her ability to understand her four compatriots, despite them all speaking a different language. None understand what compelled them to attack the Justice League of America, or the Justice Society of America. Miss Liberty suggests regrouping elsewhere to discuss their strange situation.

Superman emerges from the rubble. Slowly, Doctor Mid-Nite, the Elongated Man, the Flash, the Hawkman, the Huntress, the Star-Spangled Kid, and the Golden Age Wonder Woman recover. The rest of the Justice League of America, as well as the Justice Society of America, remain in a comatose state. After getting their teammates to a hospital, the Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America, hunt for their attackers. Superman follows their chronal energy trail to Valley Forge. The Viking Prince's dragon ship collides with the Golden Age Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet. The Black Pirate and the Viking Prince, board the invisible jet, to attack it's occupants.

The Viking Prince subdues the Flash, and the Huntress. The Black Pirate subdues Doctor Mid-Nite, the Elongated Man, and the Golden Age Wonder Woman. Superman is shot down by the Enemy Ace. The Hawkman is gunned down by Jonah Hex. The Star-Spangled Kid is beat down by Miss Liberty. Having defeated the Justice League of America, and he Justice Society of America, a second time, the five time lost heroes are placed in stasis, by the Eternity Brain. The Lord of Time is counting on the Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America, upon recovery, to track the five time-lost heroes to the Palace of Eternity. There, the Lord of Time hopes, they will destroy the Eternity Brain, before it freezes time for all eternity.

Before Crisis on Infinite Earths, There Was Crisis From Yesterday 0

'Crisis from Yesterday!' is one of the many Earth 1 & Earth 2 crossovers that, in a way, can be seen as a decades long lead up to Crisis on Infinite Earths. The annual meeting of the JLA and the JSA is held at a restaurant this year, and while things are in full swing, an explosion knocks flat all the heroes of both teams. Behind the explosion is Viking Prince, Jonah Hex, Enemy Ace, Miss Liberty, and The Black Pirate, complete with triplane, flying horses and flying viking longboat.Yes, the ...
