“A TALE OF TWO SATELLITES!” A series of conflicts between Wonder Woman and her fellow team members comes to a head when the Amazon Princess decides to quit the Justice League of America!

    "A Tale Of Two Satellites!"

Superman confronts Wonder Woman, regarding her hostile attitude towards the Justice League of America. Outraged, Wonder Woman resigns from the Justice League of America. Stepping out of the Justice League Transporter, in New York, Wonder Woman sees Poison Ivy, the Privateer, and the Scarecrow, fleeing the scene of a bank robbery. Wonder Woman attacks the Privateer. While Wonder Woman is fighting the Privateer, Poison Ivy fires on both combatants, tangling them up with strangling vines. By the time Wonder Woman, and the Privateer, break loose of the strangling vines, Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow have made good their escape.

Wonder Woman realizes that the Privateer is really Mark Shaw, formerly a Manhunter. The Privateer was actually trying to bring Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow, to justice, when Wonder Woman mistook him for one of the crooks. Wonder Woman is furious with herself for making such a stupid mistake. The Privateer offers to buy Wonder Woman lunch, to talk about it. The Scarecrow suggests hiding out in the old Injustice Gang Of The World's satellite headquarters. Poison Ivy agrees. Both criminals seem to be under an outside influence. The Batman, and the Elongated Man, confront the Green Arrow, and the Flash, regarding Wonder Woman's furious resignation.

Discord in the ranks leads to the Black Canary, the Flash, the Green Arrow, and the Green Lantern departing the satellite, possibly the Justice League of America, too. They are followed by Aquaman, the Atom, and the Elongated Man. The Batman, and Superman, ponder whether this is truly the end of the Justice League of America. Over lunch, Wonder Woman becomes irrationally furious with the Privateer, doing several dollars worth of damage to the restaurant, as she storms out. When the Privateer goes after her, Wonder Woman turns on him, and attacks, nearly killing the Privateer.

As Wonder Woman flies away, she has a moment of clarity, and realizes that an outside force is trying to take control of her mind. Wonder Woman struggles against the force, but ultimately loses. Dominated, Wonder Woman removes a tracker planted on her by the Privateer, then teleports up to the Injustice Gang of The World's satellite headquarters. The Privateer locates a Justice League transporter tube. The Batman confronts the Privateer. The Batman, and the Privateer, search for Wonder Woman. The Construct II reveals itself to Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow. When the Scarecrow balks at being dominated, the Construct II increases the power of it's mental domination, subduing the Scarecorw.

Wonder Woman resists the Construct II's dominance over her, to no avail. Wonder Woman is forced to work on a strategy for destroying the Justice League of America. Wonder Woman volunteers to deal with Superman personally. The Mirror Master runs afoul of the Black Canary, the Flash, the Green Arrow, and the Green Lantern. Before the four heroes can apprehend him, the Mirror Master vanishes. The Batman, and the Privateer, track Wonder Woman to the Injustice Gang Of The World's transport tube. There, they immdeiately come under laser fire. The Batman disables the laser cannon with a well thrown batarang.

Aquaman, and the Atom, discuss the situation with the Justice League of America. Suddenly, they are frozen solid by Chronos. The Atom is placed in Chronos' latest deathtrap. Before the Atom can be murdered, Chronos vanishes, unfreezing Aquaman, and the Atom. Wonder Woman confronts Superman, aboard the satellite headquarters of the Justice League of America. Wonder Woman attacks Superman. After a brief fight, Wonder Woman threatens to use the satellite systems to launch every missile on Earth, unless Superman submits. Superman is bound in Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, placing the Man of Steel under her control.

The Hawkman, and the Hawkgirl, close on the Tattooed Man. Before they can apprehend him, the Tattooed Man vanishes. The Hawkman uses his Justice League signals device to communicate with the Green Lantern. The Green Arrow intercepts the call, and tells the Hawkman to solve the case on his own, the Justice League of America is no more. The Atom interrupts, stating that the Hawkman's case is similar to his own. The Flash concurs. Aquaman points out that Chronos, the Mirror Master, and the Tattooed Man have worked together before. Batman confirms the involvement of Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow, as well. Clearly, the Injustice Gang Of The World is back.

Superman sees the physical toll resisting mental domination is taking on Wonder Woman. Following Wonder Woman's command, Superman orders the Justice League of America to assemble aboard the satellite. The Construct intends to re-route the Justice League of America to the Injustice Gang Of The World's satellite, where the villains will be laying in wait for them. A casual reference to their last meeting tip the Justice League of America to a possible trap. Instead of teleporting up to their satellite headquarters, the Justice League of America travel into space, inside a power ring constructed bubble. The Justice League of America storm the satellite headquarters of the Injustice Gang Of The World.

The Batman takes down Poison Ivy. The Atom takes down Chronos, The Green Arrow takes down the Tattooed Man. Aquaman takes down the Mirror Master. The Scarecrow subdues the Black Canary, the Green Arrow, and the Hawkman, with his fear rays. The Flash reflects the Scarecrow's fear rays back on the entire Injustice Gang Of The World. The fear reflected back into the Injustice Gang Of The World causes the Construct II to destroy the satellite headquarters of the Injustice Gang Of The World. With the Construct II seemingly destroyed, the Injustice Gang Of The World awaken, as if from a trance, with no memory as to how they came together.

Wonder Woman is also free of the Construct II's mental dominance. Exhausted, she collapses into Superman's arms. Though the case is closed, none of the Justice League of America are aware that the Construct II was the mastermind controlling the Injustice Gang Of The World.
