Brief History
Jurassic Park is the official name of the theme park created by John Hammond to house his genetically re-created dinosaurs so that the entire world could come and witness these creatures that had been extinct for so long. The park is located on Isla Nublar but a second island was revealed named Isla Sorna were most of the work creating the cloned dinosaurs happened before they were moved over to Isla Nublar to live in the park.
Jurassic Park was destroyed during a large storm by a combination of the weather and sabotage by Dennis Nedry so he could steal DNA samples to sell to a rival company. Nedry's sabotage resulted in the main facility entering security lock down and when InGen staff tried to disable it by restarting the power all power was lost to the entire park letting many of the dinosaurs out. Some of the dinosaurs ran amok killing staff and visitors and eventually a few survivors were rescued and the island was left to the dinosaurs.
